Drum Corps Inspiration

I absolutely love your blog and your edits and everything here. Just looking at all the pictures and reading everything already motivates me. I really love the style of how you do pictures, Have you thought of editing photos of regular marching bands or of people's own bands that they send in/submit to you? I really only ask that because I really want a picture of my band with some kind of quote on it .-. Would you ever start doing it if you got enough requests? Or anything like that?

Thank you so much! I know I don’t update very often, but I really love adding quotes to the pictures. Motivation through quotes is a major thing for me. I actually take pictures of my own band and put them on posters and write in the quotes to make them look like the ones on this blog. I never thought about making pictures for other bands though :) Maybe when I get back from tour I can start another blog to do submissions and such. That would be super cool. If anyone wants a picture of their band though with a quote, I can make that happen :)

So it’s finally come down to that moment where I become yet another DCI hopeful trying to raise money for tour/camp fees. As of this moment I have been offered a contract with the Boston Crusaders and i’m working harder than ever to keep my dream running. Unfortunately, my dream costs a lot of cash. I managed to save about $300 dollars on my own this past year (I don’t have a job and I don’t get an allowance, I just save what I can), but my shoebox of DCI funds is almost empty. Camp fees, registration fees, and plane tickets are running me dry. I have a camp at the end of this month that is out of state, so I’m going to have to fly there. This whole camp alone is burning a hole in my pocket.

But there is a way that many of my tumblr followers and friends in the community can help….

For my sixteenth birthday, my best friend created me a blog so that I can sell the wonderful bracelets that her and I make. We both have been making bracelets for a few years now, and my friend is popular in the band for doing bracelet requests for events and relationships. This is the blog :) Alright, so I know that selling bracelets isn’t the most authentic idea, but we put a lot of work and effort into ensuring that we have a good product. So you don’t have to buy a bracelet, but at least take a look at what we have, or maybe even refer our blog to someone who might be looking to buy some.

I am so incredibly thankful for the tumblr community because there are so many of you that have helped me get to the point that I am at now in my DCI experience. Without the support i’ve been given over the past couple of months, I would still be at school messing around with my clarinet. Thank you again :)
